| Abstract: | The systems La-Co-O and La-Sr-O have been studied in solid state for K2NiF4-- type compounds; La2CoO4, La4Co3O10 LaSrCoO4 and NdSrCoO4 have been synthesized by ceramic method and these phases have been characterized by powder X-ray diffractometry. The compounds La2CoO4 and La4Co3O10have orthorhombic unit cells in the space group Fmmm whereas LaSrCoO4 and NdSrCoO4 have tetragonal unit cell in the space group 14/mmm. |
