| dc.description.abstract | Six new solid complexes of lanthanide(III) nitrates with 4, 5'-dibromobenzo - 15 - crown - 5 (Br2 B 15C5), [Ln (NO3)3 Br2B 15C5](Ln=La-Nd) and [Ln(NO3)3 (OH2)2] Br2B15C5 CH3CN (Ln = Sm. Eu) have been synthesize 2 3 and characterized by elemental analyses, IR and UV spectra, molar conductance measurements, TG-DTA and XRD. Coordination number of the lanthanide(III) ion for La(III), Ce(III), Pr(III) and Nd(III) complexes is found to be eleven. Sm(IIl) and Eu(lII) ions are not directly bonded to the crown ether but are bonded by hydrogen bonds. | en_US |
