Fifteen binary diagrams of state have been studies in order to investigate the influence of induction of smectic A phase. A comparison has been made for the compounds which possess strong polar end group like-CN and relatively less polar end group like cyanfluoro with the compound 4-n-decyloxy-(4’-n-hexyloxyphenyl)-benzoate which has non-polar end group.en_US
