A few trinuclear mixed carboxylato complexes of nickel(II) with the general formula [Ni(O2CR)(SB)], [where HSB= Schiff bases derived from salicylaldehyde and aniline or p-choloraniline and RCO2H= C13H27CO2H, myristic; C15H31CO2H, palmitric, C17H35CO2H, stearic, or C21H43CO2H, behenic acid]have been synthesized by substitution of anhydrous nikel(II) acetate with higher carboxylic acids and schiff bases. The reaction products are characterized by their elemental analysis and conductance measureJ11enls. Molecular weight determination indicate the trinuqlcar nature of these derivatives. Magnetic moments and electronic spectra suggest an octahedral environment *round niekel(II) in the above complexes.en_US
