| Abstract: | Polymerization of acrylamide initiated by the redox system persulphate-Ni2+ meta- bisulphitehas been studied kinetically and behaviour of various aliphatic alcohols as retarders in the polymerization system has been quantitatively evaluated in terms of Tudo's parameter and retardation constants. A plausible mechanism is suggested to explain the experimental findings. |
