Abstract: The performance parameters of Sr-ferrite prepared by coprecipitation technique are influenced by the systematic addition (wt. per cent) of sodium hydroxide. The sintered virgin samples show Br = 2100G, Hc = 1600 Oe and (BH)max = 0.94 MGOe. For the optimum concentration of sodium, the corresponding values are improved to Br = 2400 G, Hc = 1900 MGOe and (BH)max = 1.25 MGOe. These changes in the performance parameters are discussed with reference to the density and microstructure of sintered products.
