| Abstract: | Reactions of dimethylsulphate with pyridine, -, -, -picolines, quinoline, N-propylamine, Nsbutylamine, dimethylamine and diethylamine yield new products of the type Me2OSO3 Amine. These products have been characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, molar conductances, molecular weights, thermochemical and spectroscopic data, which indicate the transfer of methyl group from dimethyl sulphate to nitrogen of amine giving rise to ionic products of the formula (Amine CH3)+ (CH3SO4)-. |
