| Abstract: | A guiding principle of developing alternatives to polysilane derivatives is proposed for molecular design of or ganosilicon polymers with narrow bandgap values. This principle is based on an appropriate orbital-interaction scheme between silanyl and organic π-conjugated moieties forming the organosilicon polymer. A couple of examples are given to explain the applicability of this principle. |
