| Abstract: | Mechanistic and kinetic studies on the anation reactions of the titled complex by glutamic acid (LH) have been carried out spectrophotometrically in three different ethanol-water media (10, 20, 30% v/v) in the temperature range of 45-60°C and at pH between 3.04.5. The reaction rate has been found to be pH dependent within the range under study. Activation parameters have been calculated and compared with analogous systems. Low values of H# and large negative S# values are suggestive of an associative interchange mechanism (Ia) studies on solvent effect- also support the same mechanistic conclusion. |
