| dc.description.abstract | A series of binuclear complexes of the type |M(HDCTH)(H2O)2|2X2 [where HDCTH = a schiff base derived from the condensation of isonicotinic acid hydrazide (INH) and diacetylmonoxime (DM), [M =COll, Nill and Cull, and X = CI- , Br-, NO ] have been prepared and characterised by elemental analyses, magnetic measurements, electronic and IR spectral analyses. Infra red spectra of the complexes indicate the participation of azomethine nitrogen, oxime oxygen and carbonyl oxygen. The water molecules are coordinated as evidenced from the IR and thermal analyses. The magnetic and reflectance spectra suggest an approximately octahedral symmetry around the metal ions. | en_US |
