Tris chelates of rhodium(III) have been synthesised and characterized by elemental analysis, electronic absorption, IR and PMR studies. The data reveal that tris(2-arylazophenolato )rhodium(III)chelates exist in both cis and trans- isomeric forms and in each case the amount of cis isomer isolated has been found to be higher than the amount of trans isomer.en_US
