Abstract: Polarographic behaviour of Pr(III) and Nd(III) in different supporting electrolytes viz., lithium chloride, perchloric acid and tetramethylammonium chloride have been investigated. Both the elements are reduced at the DME by a single step three-electron reduction. Well-defined polarograms are obtained for Pr(III) and Nd(lII) in the supporting electrolytes studied. This technique is well applied in the analysis of praseodymium and neodymium.
