| Abstract: | A series of indium derivatives of N-alkyl-3-mercaptoacetamides having general formula [RNHC(O)CH2S]3ln (where R=C2H5, n-C3H5, i-C3H7, n-C4H9, i-C4H9, sec-C4H9) have been synthesised and characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight measurements and spectral (IR, 1H and 13C NMR) studies. The complexes appear to exist in two isomeric forms in solution and the plausible structures for both the isomers have been proposed. |
