| dc.description.abstract | Cobalt(II) and nickel(II) complexes of benzil-a-monoxime-2-iminoethanethiol (BMETH2), benzyl-a- monoxime-2-iminobenzenethiol (BMBTH2), benzil-a-monoxime thiosemicarbazone (BMTH2) and benzil-a-monoxime semicarbazone (BMSH2) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity, magnetic susceptibility measurements, IR and electronic spectral data The molar conductivities suggest that all dimeric complexes are non-electrolytes. The IR and magnetic susceptibility data suggest that all the complexes have dimeric structure with bridged oxime groups. The electronic spectral data suggest an octahedral structure for all [except (Co-BMET)2 and (Co-BMBT)2] complexes. Various electronic spectral parameters have been calculated and discussed. | en_US |
