The kinetics of catalytic oxidation of n-butylamine has been studied over Pt/HM and Fe-Mn/HM catalysts. The reaction on both catalysts seems to proceed with similar kinetics. The reaction is zero order in[n-butylamine) in the presence of large excess of oxygen. Catalytic activity of Fe-Mn/HM is higher than that of Pt/HM. As the temperature is increased, the nitrogen oxide selectivity goes through a maximum, 410°C over Pt/HM and 460°Cover Fe-Mn/HM, respectively.en_US
