| Abstract: | A software package KINTOB for the estimation of kinetic parameters of integral order reactions has been investigated. The residuals and standard deviation. in response function are used for validating zero, first and second order reaction kinetic models using simulated and experimental data sets. The upper limits of the random noise in response beyond which least squares does not yield unbiased kinetic parameters are studied. A higher magnitude of noise renders the data points into outliers. Monte-Carlo simulation experiments are performed and realistic confidence intervals for the rate constant are proposed. |
