| Abstract: | Densities of β-cyclodextrin+18-crown-6 ether + water (Cyc+CR+W) and sucrose+18-crown-6 ether+water (SUC+CR+W) ternary systems have been estimated at 25°C. From densities. mean apparent molar volumes of CYC+CR(Vfcc) and SUC+CR(Vfcc) in W,CR, (Vf.cr in CYC+W and SUC+W, and of CYC (Vfcyc) and SUC (Vfsuc) in CR+W in each composite mixture have been evaluated. Variation of Vf,cc Vf,sc, Vf,cr and Vf,suc with respect to the respective molality shows the existence of intermolecular interactions. |
