Abstract: The preparation and electrochemical properties of Pb2+  ion selective membrane sensor have been studied using zirconium tungstophosphate (ZWP) cation exchanger as an electroactive material and araldite as binder. The detection limit of this membrane for Pb2+ ions is 2.51 x I0-4 M with a slope of 38 mV/decade of concentration. The working pH range for the membrane is 3 to 6 and its response time is <10s to all concentrations.
