| dc.description.abstract | Synthesis and characterization of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II)., Zn(II), Cd(II), Hg(II) and UO complexes of isatin- hydrazone-S-benzyldithiocarbazate (H2IBD) are reported. Elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic moment and spectral (IR, visible, NMR) data have been used to characterize the complexes. IR spectral data show that the ligand behaves in a bidentate, tridentate or tetradentate manner in different complexes. An octahedral structure is proposed for the Mn(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes while a square-planar structure is proposed for Cu(II)complexes on the basis of magnetic and spectral measurements. | en_US |
