| Abstract: | The reaction of ruthenium (III) perchlorate with some monotertiary phosphines and arsines has been investigated. Ionic complexes of the type [RuL5 (CIO4)] (CIO4) where L = PPh3, As Ph3 PMe2Ph, AsMe2Ph or AsEt2Ph have been isolated. Some of these complexes react with nitric oxide to give complexes of the type [RuL5(NO)] (CIO4) where L = PPh3 or AsPh3. The complexes have been characterized on the basis of their elemental analysis, IR, NMR, conductiviity and magnetic moment data. |
