Abstract: India has variety of medicinal plants and these plants used as a traditional knowledge to treat the animals. Post partum gynecological disorders like anoestrus, endometritis, metritis, pyometra, repeat breeding or even permanent infertility in female and reduced fertility or infertility due to impaired semen quality in male can be treated by using these plants medicines. Synthetic chemical drugs /medicines/ hormones are being frequently used to treat the reproductive disorders; its use may cause public health hazard and severe side effects on the animal reproduction. But the herbal drugs have fewer side effects and more benefits and have less health hazards. This paper describes the herbal medicines/ plants which are used in animal reproduction to cure reproductive disorders.
