| Abstract: | Kinetics of complexation of chromium(III) with -glutamine have been investigated under varying conditions of [chromium(III)]T, [ligand]T, [H+], ionic-strength, % EtOH and temperature by spectrophotometry. A mechanism has been proposed according to which the reaction of [Cr(H20)6]3+ follows an associative interchange (Ia) path, whereas that of [Cr(H20)5OH]2+ follows a dissociative interchange (Id) path. |
