The reactions of salicylaldehyde 4-methoxybenzoyl hydrazone, [H2SMBHON], o-hydroxyacetophenone 4-methoxybenzoylhydrazone, [H2OHAPMBHON], and di-acetylmonoxime 4- methoxybenzoylhydrazone, [H2DAMMBHON] with NiCI2.6H2O, Ni(OAc)24H2O, and Ni(acac)2,H2O under varied reaction conditions have been studied. Many octahedral and square planar Ni(II) complexes have been isolated which have been characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance values, molecular weights, magnetic susceptibilities and spectroscopic (electronic and IR) data.en_US
