Catalytic decomposition of hydrogen peroxide has been carried out using pyridine, 2-methylpyridine, 3-chloropyridine and quinoline complexes of cobalt(II)chloride. Kinetic and thermodynamic parameters have been evaluated. It has been found that the electron density on the transition metal ion plays an important role in deciding the catalytic activity of these complexes.en_US
