A simple, rapid and direct spectrophotometric method has been developed for the spectrophotometric determination of cobalt(II). The molar absorptivity of the complex is 3.0 x 104 1 mol-1cm-1. Various parameters including the concentration of ATG, effect of pH and diverse ions have been studied to optimize the determination of cobalt in alloys and pharmaceutical samples.en_US
