| dc.description.abstract | Oxothiovanadates of the types M1VO2S.H2O (where M = K+, Rb+ and Na+) and NaVOS2.2H2O have been isolated and characterised. The TGA data reveal loss of H2S from these compounds. The complexes of the type M1VO2S.H2O (where M = K+ & Rb+) yield MV3O8S and M VO3 on heating. The IR data reveal the presence of V = O and V = S bonds. The X-ray powder patterns are also reported. | en_US |
