Dihydrogen adsorption has been studied volumetrically on a 5% Pt/C fuel cell catalyst and Pt/C + C physical mixtures at ambient temperature. The observed results strongly suggest splitting of hydrogen molecules on Pt metal sites and spilling-over to carbon support sites.en_US
