| Abstract: | A new hydroxyl-ion selective poly(vinyl chloride)- membrane electrode based on chlorpromazine base in the presence of sodium tetraphenyl borate has been prepared with dioctylphthalate as a plasticizer. The performance characteristics of the electrode have been studied. It exhibits a good Nernstian response at room temperature, over a relatively wide range of hydroxyl ion concentrations and is highly selective toward a large number of inorganic anions. |
