C polarography and other related techniques, viz., NPP, DPP and DPASV have been used for the trace analysis of green sandstone of Lameta sediments around Jabalpur. Method of standard addition has been used for the quantitative analysis of some transition metal and rare earth metal ions. For a better separation of polarographic waves, advantage of differential complexation of the metal ions in the sample with nitrilotriacetic acid has been taken. The proposed methods are precise, accurate and fast.en_US
