| Abstract: | An ion-selective electrode using immobilized 2,4 dinitrophenyl- alanine (DNP-Ala) conjugate in PVC matrix membrane has been reported, both with the conventional ion-selective electrode body (double barrel configuration) and graphite loaded epoxy resin based solid-state electrode body. The electrode exhibits cation sensitive Nemstian behaviour with a slope of 45-55 mV. Response curves of the ion-selective electrode to NH4+, K+, Na+ and Li+ ions have been reported. |
