Thermal decomposition of strontium and barium tris(malonato)ferrates(III) has been studied at 300-1073 K in air using TG-DTG-DTA, ESR, IR and Mossbauer spectroscopy. The stoichiometry of the decomposition is highly complex and involves many stages, yielding the compounds Sr3Fe2O7-x and Ba3Fe2O7-x in the final step.en_US
