| Abstract: | Redox membrane potentials across a Dowex 50 membrane have been measured using mixtures of potassium ferricyanide and potassium ferrocyanide having different compositions and compared with liquid junction potentials estimated on the basis of theoretical considerations. Membrane potential measurements have also been carried out to estimate ionic transport numbers in the membrane phase to explore possibility of prediction of redox membrane potentials. |
