The sound velocity in binary liquid mixture of anisole with aniline, benzonitrile, nitrobenzene and o-chlorophenol has been evaluated using Nomoto's relation, ideal mixing relation, Jacobson's free length theory and Schaff's collision factor theory. The agreement between theoretical and experimental values is quite satisfactory. Non-ideality in the liquid mixtures has been expressed in terms of U/U, where Uexp and Uim refer to the experimental and ideal mixture velocities respectively.en_US
