| Abstract: | Electrohemical reduction of 1-(m-chlorophenyl)-3phenyl-1, 2 -epoxypropan-3-one has been carried out in the pH range 2.0 to 12.0 in 25% aqueous DMF by differential pulse polarography, AC polarography, DC polarography and cyclic Voltammetry. The electrochemical reduction mechanism given is consistent with the data obtained. The kinetic parameters, such as transfer coefficient, diffusion coefficient and heterogeneous forward rate constant value have been evaluated and reported. |
