The conductance behaviour of copper(II) perchlorate in water-DMSO and water-pyridine mixtures at 30°C in the composition range 0-80 wt% organic solvent has been investigated. The ^0 values obtained by Shedlovsky method have been split into their ionic conductances and the corresponding Walden products evaluated. The variation of the Walden products of the cation and anion is interpreted in terms of the heteroselective solvation of the salt in these mixtures.en_US
