| Abstract: | Some new ɑ, ɑ-bis (4-substituted benzoyl)tellurium diiodides have been synthesised. Their substitution reactions with a variety of reagents have been studied. It is found that carbon-tellurium bond remains intact during these reactions. New compounds thus obtained have been fully characterised by analysis and spectral data. |
