Viscosities of aniline (An) + benzene, toluene, m-xylene or p-xylene (B) mixtures have been measured at 308.15 K by a modified Ubbelohde viscometer. These values have been coupled with the corresponding molar excess volume data to suggest that the depolymerising power of aromatic hydrocarbons (B) towards aniline (An) depends on the π-electron density of the aromatic ring.en_US
