The computed trends of Ru-N, NS and NO bond strengths in the title complexes, as measured by Wiberg indices. charge distribution and orbital populations suggest that the strength of the Ru-NS bond is greater than that of Ru-NO bond, and NS ligand is a better electron acceptor from the central metal atom than NO ligand. The strength of Ru-CI bond trans to NS ligand is weaker than that of the Ru-CI bond trans to NO ligand. The ratio of σ donor to π acceptor abilities of NS ligand is greater than that of the NO ligand.en_US
