| dc.description.abstract | Reactions of niobium(V) isopropoxide with various O,O'-alkylenedithiophosphoric acids in 1:1 molar ratio yield tetraisopropoxyniobium(V) alkylenedithiophosphates (PriO)4NbS2 (where G = - CMe2CMe2-, -CHMeCHMe-, -CH2CMe2CH2- and -CH2CEt2CH2-) as hydrolysable, pink-purple viscous liquids or solids, soluble in common organic solvents. Further replacement of isopropoxy group by these ligands to give disubstituted compounds does not occur even under forcing conditions. IR and NMR (lH, 13C and 31P) spectra of the complexes indicate bidentate behaviour of dithiophosphate moieties endowing octahedral configuration on the complexes. | en_US |
