Solid-solid reaction of 8-hydroxyquinoline with copper acetate results in the formation of copper quinolinolate in two steps as evidenced from EPR, TG and DSC studies. DSC scans show that the reaction is not a true solid-solid reaction and participation of some liquid phase occurs. Kinetics of the solid state reaction have also been investigated using capillary technique.en_US
