| Abstract: | Twelve neutral dioxouranium(VI) complexes of tetradentate schiff bases obtained by the condensation of pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde or 2-acetylpyridine with ethylenediamine and propylenediamine are reported. The complexes have the general formula UO2(L)X2, where L= neutral tetradentate ligand and X = Cl- , NCS-, NO . The complexes are characterised by analytical, electrical conductivity and infrared spectral studies. The thiocyanate ions are N-bonded and the nitrate ions are bonded in a bidentate manner. |
