The conductances of picric acid have been measured in 2-methoxyethanol, 1,2-dimethoxyethane and also in their binary aqueous mixtures at 25 ± 0.01ᵒC. The data have been analysed by the Shed-lovsky and the Fuoss conductance equations and the dissociation constants of picric acid have been determined and discussed on the basis of the physical properties of the solvents. Thermodynamic transfer functions in the two solvent systems have also been evaluated and explained in terms of ion-solvent interactions.en_US
