| Abstract: | Catalysis by palladium(II) of cerium(IV) oxidation of mercury(I)/allyl alcohol in acid medium has been utilized to propose a kinetic method of analysis of palladium(II). Analysis of palladium(II) between 4.0 x 10-2 and 6.5 μg per ml can be made by spectrophotometry. The reaction is also found useful for the analysis of mercury(I).Interferences have been studied. |
