Abstract: The electrochemical reduction of pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde-2-quinolylhydrazone at pyrolytic graphite electrode has been studied in the phosphate buffers of pH range 3.0-10.8. The products of reduction have been characterized. On the basis of linear and cyclic sweep voltammetry, coulometry, spectral studies and product identification, a redox mechanism has been suggested.
