| Abstract: | The hydrogen abstraction reactions of methyl radicals, generated by thermolysis of di-t-butyl peroxide, with a number of alkenes have been investigated in the temperature range of 399-434 K. Arrhenius pa ammeters for overall hydrogen abstraction based on the value of the rate constant for recombination of methyl radicals have been obtained for the following compounds: propene, 2-methylpropene, cis-2-butene, -methyl-2-butene and 2, 3-dimethyl-2-butene. |
