| Abstract: | Some new complexes of composition (PriO)4-nZr[OOCH(R)C-  (O)]n (where R = -H, -CH3, -CH2C6H5, -CH(CH3)2 -CH2CH2SCH3, and -CHR- = -CH2CH2-, n = 1 to 4) have been synthesized by the reaction of Zr(OPri)4PriOH with the corresponding ligands in different stoichiometric ratios in refluxing benzene medium. The structures of these complexes have been assigned on the basis of physicochemical and spectral (IR, 1H & 13C NMR) studies. |
