Membrane potentials measured across duramater, the membrane surrounding the brain of buffalo (Bof. E bubalis) in uni-univalent electrolyte systems are found to decrease with increase in ionic concentration similar to transport numbers of ions. The fixed charge densities have been found to be low. The duramater is found to be anion selective.en_US
