| Abstract: | The rate of reaction between Cr(H2O) and EDTA has been found to be enhanced when irradiated with gamma radiation forming Cr(Y)(H2O)-. The kinetics of this reaction has been studied and a mechanism proposed. Prolonged irradiation of the reaction mixture leads to the formation of Cr(VI) and polymeric Cr(III) species. |
