Abstract: Iron (III) has been estimated by differential pulse polarography in 0.1 M triethanolamine + 0.1 M NaOH medium. The lowest determinable limit of iron (III) is 20 ppb with root mean deviation of 1.06%. Linear calibration plots have been obtained from 0.02 to 10 ppm of iron (III). Other ions are tolerated to a fairly large extent especially Mn(II) (1:15), Zn(II) (1:5) and Cd(II) (in all concentration ratios). Iron (III) in blood plasma, blood serum and drugs has been determined.
