dc.description.abstractOxidation of o-, p- & m-hydroxyacetophenones by hexacyanoferrate (III) in alkaline medium is first order each in [acetophenone] and [hexacyanoferrate (III)]. Added KCl and increase in [NaOH] increase the rate. Activation parameters have been calculated and a probable mechanism proposed.en_US
